Not sure if I'm pregnant

I had what the ER thought was the flu. I was running fever, but was not vomiting a lot. I had a period on Dec 21 of Dec. My husband and I had sex on Jan 6. (this will not be my first pregnancy if I am) about a week later, I started having symptoms. My period was due again on the 18th of Jan. I started spotting the day before. I had bright red bleeding, was not like a normal period. The bleeding stopped after about 5 days, then I got a browinish discharge. Took test on Monday said negative. But I still have the same symptoms. Can someone please help.

I dont think you're pregnant. Could just be the flu or something messing with you. I got sick in Decemeber with flu like symptoms. I thought it was a sign of pregnancy because I was also very nauseous. My period wasn't exactly a period. I was spotting for a day then the next day it was gone, the day following it was a brownish discharge. 2 days later it came back. It was very confusing and I still felt sick. Turns out I wasn't pregnant. It's always good to wait until the start of your next period to see if anything happens, just like you did.

I doubt you are pregnant. Sometimes periods are just different for whatever reason. And I've heard that the flu that is going around has been one that comes and goes and comes back again.
