Pregnancy Pregnancy

For those worried about your post baby body...

Posted by   + Show Post

All is not lost! Lol I am 8 days post c-section with my 2nd child. I had gained 54lbs this time and as of yesterday I've lost 25lbs. DS as 8lbs 9oz. I'll add a pic of me at 39 weeks pregnant for comparison.

So don't worry ladies...it can happen! :)

You looked great at 9 months. Did you exercise during your pregnancy? Did you maintain a healthy diet?

I know that you said "majority", but that hasn't been my experience. Most women that I know have gone back to their prepregancy size within a year of delivery. I went from an 8 to a 4, so my hips certainly didn't stay wide.

Quoting SuperMom2433:

Yup, pretty much. For the majority of women their hips will never go back.

Quoting Beyilly87:

Wait?

Really?!

Your hips never go back to the pre-preg. Sz?

So you go up a jean size no matter what?

Quoting SuperMom2433:

This is exactly how I feel. Also, something a lot of women need to keep in mind is there are parts of your body that will never go back to the size you were prepreg. Like hips.

Quoting lifeforchrist:

women need to be realistic when it comes to pregnancy weight and realize we are all different. Expecting to be back to normal in a month is silly. It took you 9 months to get there give yourself 9 months to get back to the ol you and stop pressuring yourselves. You have a new baby, focus on that not the size of your waist line :)

I was real lucky being down within 5 lbs of my starting weight after my c section. I gained like 30 lbs post baby and have a saggy belly even though I've finally lost it:(

I lost my baby weight and then some this last go around. I was 225 before getting pregnant, got to 250 at the end, now I'm 211 and still losing. Hoping to lose 50 lbs this year then 20 next year :).  I had my baby October 24th.

I had four kids. My body is all over the place. I know it will take time for my body to go bak the way it was before kids. Takes time n dedication. Some take more time then others.

I lost about 25lbs in the beginning of my pregnancy and only gained that back during rest. 3 days pp I was almost 20lbs less than my prepregnancy weight lol.
