flu w/ fever...harmful to baby?

Two days ago i came down with the flu, hada fever of 101. I took Tylenol every six hours but my fever would come back before my next dose was due. I also got a fever during the night when I was Not taking any Tylenol. Now I've been reading how dangerous a fever is to your unborn baby. I feel so guilty and so worried that my fever did damage to my baby. I'm 22 weeks pregnant by the way.

Get well and I would call your doctor to see what they suggest.

I did call my dr. today, the nurse said she would let the dr know and if it got worse to call back. i feel much better now, in fact the flu symptoms only lasted a little over12 hours, Im just worried there is damage already done.

Damage?  How high is your fever?  101 isn't dangerous.

I would call your doctor to see what they think.  Hope you feel better.

So do you think I should still get the flu shot?

101 isn't dangerous.
I would never get the flu shot while pregnant. Although I never get it anyway.

No.

The flu shot isn't effective for 2-3 weeks after you get it and it weakens your immune system in the mean time. This raises your risk of getting sick. Plus, it is only 59% effective.

If you want to get the shot, get it before the season starts.

As for the fever issue, 101 isn't that high. I had a fever and was sick with this baby a couple weeks ago (I don't know how high because I don't usually take my temperature). My doctor was not at concerned. Just stay hydrated and baby should be ok :)

They told me to not even call back unless I went over 102. You are probably ok,
