im not about baby sleeping in the room with us, so i wouldnt buy it, but why is everyone else saying no? what is bad about it?

If it makes you feel more secure in co-sleeping, then go for it! I, personally, just have a king-sized bed and we bed share. : ) A crib, would last you longer, though, and serve the same purpose, side carred like that. This contrapation will only last until they are three to six months and trying to crawl/sit up. Then, it is useless and unsafe.

No, a regular crib works just as well and for a longer period of time.
