A doctor told me that my daughter has a high palate. Does anyone have any experience with this? What do you know about it?
Thanks for any help!

I am a dental hygienist and we see patients with high palates all the time. It may cause your child some speech problems in the future due to their tongue cannot reach to the roof of their mouth the pronunce certain words. This may be corrected with speech therapy and or orthodontics. Nothing to be worried about at this time. I personally have a very high palate and it has not caused me any problems. When u take your daughter to her first dental visit ask your dentist about it.

Good news! My husband has a high palate. His response: "So what?" Never caused problems for him. If your doctor doesn't say it will cause problems, it probably won't. :)
