Great news! Totally understand about the freaking out tho, dh & I r ttc and I'm scared to death to tell my dad. I think it's the whole " need his approval" thing I've had going all my life. It would be horrible if you tell them something you're happy about only to get a bad or disappointed response from them. Good luck!

Give her some time and don't let her bring you down. Maybe going online and making an Amazon wishlist of baby stuff would boost your spirit?

why are you so scared to tell your mom? I was terrified to tell mine when I found out with DS1 because even though I was married and working I thought she would be disappointed...but she wasn't! She may surprise you!

I bet she will come around... I'm not religious but every baby is a blessing, and if she is religious then she will see that God had a plan for you.

That is awesome that you got to hear your baby. I'm sorry things are rough with your Mom. As hard as it is, try not to let her feelings affect you. She has to own her opinions and feelings, you don't. You get to be excited and happy no matter how she feels. Congrats!

Congrats!  I was the same way about my dad but it felt a lot better to tell him, my mother however still doesn't know and I'm 7months.

I was 35 divorced and waited until I was 6 months to tell my mom I was pregnant because it was out of wedlock! So I can relate, but you know at the end of the day is a done deal... Baby is there, enjoy your pregnancy and everything else does not matter! All that matters is that momma and baby are ok..
