Im being put in the hospital on March 1. Have have never had this happpen. The baby and i are both fine. But the baby is sitting so low that my dr is afraid that i could give a dry birth if my water brakes now or i wont make it to the hospital. I live out in the country. I dont even know the sex of the baby. I will be 39 weeks. I have had alot of problems carring my babies. My first babies was a premie and i was in active labor for a month with my second. Had alot of problems with both my pregnancies. And this one is no differant. In and out of the hospital. Lots of pain and spotting. Im very nervous.

Advice? Don't get induced, its not easy on you or baby and should be avoided without medical need.

Just sharing? Congratulations on your little one, good luck with everything,

There is no such thing as a dry birth! As long as you are hydrated your placenta will refill the sac and the baby is always urinating.... That is just a myth!

I wouldn't go in, sounds like he's either unintelligent, scheduling you for convenience or both.

Good luck to you! I was induced because of sketchy blood pressure, and my son's heart rate was acting funky. :\

If you MUST get induced, I would suggest reading up on it so you know what to expect. :)

Besides, if there really was something wrong, why wouldn't they do something immediately? Why are they waiting two days?! Babies can sit low for weeks! And your water breaking is NOT an emergency, unless it meconium stained. And even then, depending on the color it is important baby is born ASAP, but it isn't as emergent as say, cord prolapse.

Yeah sounds like just convenience for him...I had a good induction experience, so I'm not totally against induction. but I was 41 weeks

Your doctor isn't following evidence based care (meaning he is not providing you with advice based on scientific evidence). Don't go in for the induction.

HERE is information, to help you weigh the risks and benefits of each method of induction, if you consent to this induction.

Remember, to ask a lot of questions and make sure they explain EVERYTHING. That they tell you good, the bad and the ugly about EVERYTHING thing they are doing! Make sure they explain it BEFORE they do ANYTHING! Remember, the acrynom- BRAND-

Are you having any other complications? Any other reason to induce labor?
