Any hospitals in New York you would recomend for labor and delivery?

im currently 24 weeks and 5 days pregnant this will be my 2nd baby girl ,due to my medicaid plan i have to look for a new midwife and a new hospital to deliver,i honestly dont like hospitals but i obviously have to choose whats best,im also planning on getting an epidural and if possible i want my hubby to be able to stay the night in the room with me after delivery,anyone here with a medicaid hmo health plan that knows about this?thank you ladies =)

I love St.luke's-Roosevelt hospital and they have a birthing center.

great i actually just called that hospital and they told me i cant have anyone stay with me after visiting hours,i know im such a cry baby but i get this type of anxiety by staying at a hospital,specially if i will be alone,since this is my second baby i hope i can get a one night stay

This is a VERY important website to look at when considering a hospital.

The hospital the ladies above mentioned has a 25% cesarean rate which is lower than the national average, though they have a high first-time c-section rate.

I would call the patient advocate at the hospital and see if they will help you find a way to have your partner with you overnight.

If I gave birth in New York it would be unassisted. Seeing as they do forced medical procedures there. Scratch that, I simply wouldn't deliver there. No one could drag me to New York in my last trimester of pregnancy.
