I would suggest waiting AT LEAST 9 months. 12-18 or more would be better. But safe is kind of a relative term. Many VBAC friendly providers will refuse to do them without 18 months between deliveries, to give you a better idea.

I have heard 2 years too but there are many women who have waited far less.

If you're planning on a repeat c-section, it doesn't matter too much. Give the internal incision time to heal completely at least. For a VBAC, it's suggested to have at least 18-24mo between births.

For RCS, it doesn't really matter. If you want to have a TOLAC, you would have better chances of finding provider, if you have at least eighteen months (but many providers prefer two years) between the births.

I am no longer a candidate for TOLAC. I have a bicornate uterus, had to have a repeat c section because baby wasn't moving, and my labors don't progress. I also have had severe symphosis pubis dysfunction with all 3 of my pregnancies.

I would say, with all those risk factors, I would take with your provider what she recommends. If I remember correctly, you have a female OB who has cared for you because of those conditions, outside of pregnancy, right?
