My Dr never did checks for that until I'm in the hospital. They are unnecessary and don't tell you anything.

1 mom liked this

but my midwife doesnt check untill im in labor, its kinda unnecessary anyway, dilation doesnt really give you any idea of when labor will start anyway

Mine never checks during pregnancy and only if the mother wants it during labor. There is no need for it and it doesnt tell you anything really.

My dr didn't check till 37wks and only cause I was having a ton of cervix pain so he wanted to see if I was dialating. He didn't check again till I was in the hospital.

Normally, between 36 and 38 weeks. I don't get checked until past 41 weeks. I don't think there's any point.
