Pregnancy Induced Sugar Intolerance = Gestational Diabetes?
Okay, obviously I am going to ask my doctor but I've been known to have a very sensitive stomach to begin with. Being that I'm already lactose intolerant I've noticed exact symptoms developing a sort of sugar intolerance. I ate poptarts and bam, within 30 minutes stomach cramps and a run to the rest room, Sour patch kids, candy hearts, carrot cake all have the same effect. Now I of course don't eat like this all day long, in fact for the most part sugary items are one of my food aversion but I may nibble on a piece or two from time to time. Anyhoo a search for Sugar intolerance leads me to believe that's exactly it. Malabsorption. But if I search pregnancy and sugar intolerance I get tons of sites on GD. Thoughts? Opinions? Is there anyone else in a similar situation? I had no problems whatsoever when I was pregnant with DD.
