Usually wet diapers aren't bad, but if they know they're poopy, the hands go straight to their bottoms! It drives me crazy. I've tried giving them toys to hold, but since I only have one in diapers (until September, anyway) I just stick to the "poopy song". It varies from change to change, so I couldn't give you specific lyrics. LOL

I usually give her something that she can't have, like the tv remote or my phone

I do two things: we have a musical elephant that I turn on and let her play with or I'll take my time and tell her what I'm doing, pointing out her toes, foot, leg, etc.

I usually just talk to him or her. Sometimes, I will hand them something to hold.
