needle phobic and need a c-section

needle phobic and having my 3rd c-section in sept . i had generals for my c-section so i was fully knocked out . as there no way in hell a needle was going in my back it took them to get one in my arm. and bloods are hell for me . im very very phobic . so this time i really want dh to be able to be in the room but no way i can do it so midwifes are talking about drugging em so i do not know whats going on anyone ever had this ?

They could probably give you something to calm your nerves ahead of time.

I don't understand the question but i'd think a spinal is safer than being completely sedated.

They can usually give u a mild sedative. I can not handle MRIs but they give ne a large dose if benydryl. I dony see why they cant do the same for you and it would wear off fairly quickly after you got a spinal in?

It's not like you see the needle they put in your back. Just close your eyes and get it.

If you're that scared of the procedure, maybe you should look into a VBAC?

vbac out for me i don't go into labour at all no mater what they do 

in in the uk so we don't see drs here in pregnancy our midwifes are very well trained and not really like yours

just closing my eyes is not gona work im very very phobic . that like tell a spider phobic to jsut close there eyes it wont work they still know  its there   lol
