There are tons of ridiculous things on Target's shelves that do not work. People frequently spend their money on things they don't need, or that he no proven effect/benefit. Why is this one so special??

Because if you use it and either pump no milk or pump just a little milk, you will think you need to supplement with formula. If you read the statistics, feeding formula increases the risks for a whole lot of things-including SIDS. So yes this product needs to be removed.

Eh.

Everyone should make informed purchases. If they choose not to review/research before purchase...

Of course they should. But should a baby suffer because her Mom is stupid-or because Mom got one of these ridiculous things as a shower gift and one dark night when her newborn is up every 90 minutes to nurse she gives in to it and decides to use it-only to find she can't pump andything?

Kids suffer enough from the stupidity of their parents...not to mention, one might wonder what the hell they are testing the breastmilk for? How can this even be legal?

There are lots of things people spend their money on. Why does this one matter? If people are dumb enough to fall for things like this, let them? lol
