Uterus still under navel at 22 weeks...

My baby is completely normal size and healthy, so my doctor said not to be worried. I'm not, but I'm just wondering if that is common. My uterus is just below my belly button, but I heard it is supposed to be about 1.5 inches higher.

When they measure the fundal height from your pelvic bone to the top of the uterus, is it somewhere between 19-25 cm (weeks)? + or - 3 cm is totally normal, no matter the relationship to your belly button.

It's all "average". You may have a higher than average placed belly button?

Do you have a long torso, that could be the cause. If baby is measuring fine I wouldn't be concerned. I am 18 wks and am measuring about 26.

I am only 5'1", so my torso isn't very long, lol. I'm not concerned about my son's health, but I just feel odd that my uterus is still so low.
