Firing a ob while in labor

I am afraid this is something I have to do when I go in labor. I love the practice they have but there is a dr who I butted heads with. There are four drs in rotation and my fear is she comes in and I have to tell her I would rather the charge nurse touch me and child before she did.

Has anyone had to fire a ob or midwife at the last minute

The dr on call was one I hated when I went into labor but I really didn't see him until it was time to push so I just went through it

If he's terrible, I absolutely would. I've kicked a nurse out before.

Wow! S/he must be a terrible doctor. Can you talk to the lead doctor and see if there is a solution?

The solution is I get the backup who has to work the next day

I've kicked a few nurses out, but never a dr. Although when I had my 2nd child, I was pissed that the dr was one that I DID NOT WANT to see because she was rude and just downright awful..but luckily for me, I didn't see her til it was time to push and she's damn lucky baby's head was already almost out or I would've kicked her right in the face! lol

Wow! I would say stay at home in labor as long as possible and show up pushing!

With #3,  I let my OB office AND L/D know that one doctor in particular was not allowed near me.  She was on call when I went into labor so an OB from a different practice came in for delivery.

And I did kick her out of my room at 34w when she threatened to hold me down.
