Has anyone tried to reduce their work hours and had a negative outcome?? I asked to go from full-time to part-time and my manager said no!!! She said I cannot go PT without a letter of medical necessity!! I was so furious!! My doc said she cannot give me a note because her only option would be to put me out on bedrest (b/c I have a h/o high blood pressure), which I somehow find to be a bit extreme?? I really need help on how to get my hours cut!!! I have the most miserable work situation where being pregnant is like having the plague...My clinical social worker/counselor offered to write a letter saying I was under undue stress and needed to cut back, however,i do not know from an HR standpoint if that would be sufficient.
Anybody have experience with this? Any HR mamas out there??
