Pregnancy Pregnancy

Should have never bought a fetal heart doppler

Ugh. I am totally obsessed with it. I am 16 weeks and have felt little movements nothing consistent so when I have felt something in a while I run to the bedroom to listen for a heart beat.
My dh is telling me he is going to take it away from me because he thinks I am crazy. But I am so uptight with this pregnancy and worried something bad is going to happen.
Anyone else addicted to a heart monitor thingy??

I've heard that you're not supposed to use those because of the risk to baby. I'm sure you can google info on this.

That's why I never bought one.  You are still a bit early to feel consistent movement.  :)

I'm sure I will be as soon as I can find a heart beat regularly. I'm only 7 weeks right now so its pretty difficult. My bf and his mother both have a heart condition called PSVT (proxsmal supra ventricular tachycardia) that randomly makes their hearts beat really really fast. Only way to diagnose it is to actually catch it happening. Chances of it happening while in the doctors office are pretty small.

I have one because my last pregnancy was a full-term stillborn and it helps ease my paranoia. If this is your first it is totally normal to not feel consistent movements at 16 weeks! This is my third and I didnt feel consistent movements til 22-23 weeks, but I have an anterior placenta and that made it difficult. I am now 26 weeks and feeling lots of wiggles and kicks. I use mine probably once every other day or so.

Never bought one for that reason. stress about finding the heartbeat isn't good for baby

It doesn't show numbers. I didn't get that one because I think my obsession would be worse! It is a angel sounds one.
It's super easy to use and I can find the heart beat super fast.
