See what CafeMoms are saying about saving time this holiday season..
I read this story on FB today. I breastfed both my daughters and plan to breastfeed this one as well. I am lucky enough to have a job where I can bring the baby with me (I brought my daughter until she was 5 months). I tried my best to feed her before going to the store or out to eat, but it always seemed that she knew we were in public and would want to feed after arriving somewhere. After I got the hang of it, I would pump a few ounces as I could (my milk supply is never more than she would eat, so I couldnt pump a lot), and I always carried a blanked in the diaper bag.
I remember one time I was in Walmart (which never goes as fast as you would like it) and it was chilly outside so I had on a hoody. I turned it around and placed her under it and walked and shopped while feeding her. Ppl looked at me funny and made rude glares at me, but i just laughed it off. I will feed my baby whenever and whereever she/he needs to be fed. I wont deprive them because public/society cant handle it. It isnt like IM flashing my boob, I stay covered and discreet as possible. Breastfeeding in public isnt something I WANT to do, but I will if I have to.
Any stories of breastfeeding in public? Would you? Have you?
