I really can't understand, people from different countries have different habits, and different culture, it's need more time to know each other, even the international famliy members  have to learn other languages.

I have a cousin that was adopted from Korea. I've never asked why from there, because I honestly don't care. I love her to pieces. And as far as I know, her parents didn't have to learn the language to adopt her. They live in the states, why would they?

Because children from other countries are often in much more need. There is often less waiting time for them than there is for American children. And mostly, because the adoptive parents feel in their heart that adopting them is right for their family.

Yes, there is often more of an adjustment. But it is so worth it. Learning new cultures and languages is a great thing. Many families learn their child's culture and language so they can carry it on in their adoptive child's life.
