After almost 3 years of TTC I gave up- around 7 months ago when me and my ex broke up. I Started seeing this new guy at the end of April, nothing serious, and now that I wasn't TTC and back on BC I found out I'm pregnant -3 days ago! Crazy!!! I have long cycles- something between 30 to 32 days. I was going to get my period around June 1st but i wanted to delay it cause of a trip to Boston so I kept taking my pills for one more week and got my period one June 7 or 8 - since I was done TTC I totally stopped paying attention to this things. So my question is, do I count from June first when I started to get my period -I was actually spotting already when I stopped it, or should I start counting from the 8th? I'm going to my doctors appointment on Monday but I'm just so curious and trying to find out when my baby was conceived :D Kisses & hugs to all :)

I don't understand how you can have a long cycle on the pill. the pill engineers a regular cycle of 28 days, unless you do what you did of starting a new pack to avoid a period.

use your last period and when the do an ultrasound, they will adjust the due date then if need be.

Count from the day your period started and when your doc does a u/s they'll confirm dates then.

My cycles were always a mystery! Yes I do have long cycles I never get my period on day 28 even on the pill. I'd get it after 4 or 5 days I was done with a package n still have it for 1 or 2 days after I started a new one.

Count from when it actually started until they can date the embryo by u/s.

So I had an appointment on Monday. The doctor couldn't see that much and freaked me out saying that I had to go see a specialist because this could be an ectopic pregnancy. I went yesterday to this place in Boston and finally found out that everything is fine! The thing is that I ovulated late so it's an early pregnancy. I was just lucky to find out in the very beginning since I am only about 5 weeks pregnant. They still want me to do another u/s next Friday but they told me that everything is perfectly fine.
Thanks to all that relied :-)
