Cramping after activity

I know that cramping in the first trimester is normal; however, my cramps have completely subsided, except when I am active.

I am a teacher and am trying to get my classroom in order.  I had cramps after.  I did not do any heavy lifting.  I just moved things around for a couple of hours.

This morning, I had to work in a preschool classroom.  I did have to lift some kids (light ones) and I was up and down a lot.  Now my back is killing me and I'm cramping.

I'm sure that these are signs that I should take it easy but I don't know how much easier I can take it and still have a job!!!

Advice???

Hm, well, take it easy, lol!  Seriously though, don't be lifting kids or heavy items and rest whenever you can.

I'm sure the cramping is just regular ol' cramping.
