So...does this even mean anything?

So today I had my gbs test and dr checked my cervix. I'm 36 wks. This is my 4th baby so I'm used to terms like high, low, soft, hard, closed, open but the dr said my cervix is open on the outside and closed on the inside. I tried to look this up on google and google says its common for women who have had kids already to b like that but then other sites say it could b the start of very early labor. Has anyone ever been told their cervix is open outside and closed inside? :)

I was 4cms at 36 weeks and didn't have her until i was 40 weeks 3 days. So i really don't think it means anything other than your body is getting ready.

If I remember I will ask her.

I'm sure it's all a part of the body preparing, but it's nice to get an even better understanding than that.
