Do you consider popularity when picking a name?

Do you decide on a name you like and use it whether it is popular or not or do you seek out a name that's less popular? My dh, dd and I all have popular names. My sons names aren't as popular (not in the top 100)

I am trying to find this baby a name that's not real common but seems like most of them that I like are on their way to becoming popular or are already in the top 100

I stay away from the popular names but I don't like the popular names so it's easy for me. My sons name is I think popular but I named him after my brother so I didn't care But with this boy my name I picked def isn't popular

We chose a name that we felt would suit our LO. We couldn't decide on a name, so we took a small list with us to the hospital. It was names we liked, some we felt would 'fit in' with our other family members names, our life style, etc. After he was born and we held him a while, we knew which name to choose.

Yes, I don't like popular names.

This little dude does have a popular middle name (Henry) but ONLY because it was my grandpa's name.

I could care less. As long as my husband and I can agree on it.

I try to, but if a popular name really calls to us we will use it.
