Shopping for a shower/Etiquette question!

I want to get my friend the stroller she registered for, but DH says I should just get the little things on her registry and do a gift/care package. His reason is that I don't want to show-up the other guests at her shower.

So as a guest at a baby shower, would you be miffed if someone showed up with a big gift?

No way, I'd be grateful and happy!
My BFF (who is also throwing me my shower) got me a $200 travel system as a gift and I am totally grateful.
The little stuff is awesome, too. But you can use the gift cards or returns to pick those things up or just buy them here and there over the last weeks of pregnancy.
The big items are what I worry I WON'T get.

No. That's the whole point of putting things of different prices on the registry! If you can afford it, you should get it.

No, that's the point of a baby shower is to help the mom out as much as possible for the new baby! Plus, it's not like the little stuff isn't important either! Every thing is appreciated! And the extra help is just fantastic..and if someone gets jealous of it then that's their problem! They should be happy that they are getting the extra help!

Ansolutely not... It's not about the people, its about baby and what mom would love to have for his arrival. If u can afford it go for it, she will be thrilled. :)
