How do you feel about owning a cat while pregnant?

I have two cats, and i'm not immune to toxo. I spoke to the vet about, and both him and my obgyn confirmed that undercooked meats and unwashed veggies are way more dangerous. Just be careful and let you SO take care of the litter box. If you have to do it yourself, wear gloves, and always wash your hands after petting your cats.

You just can't change the litter box, and if you do be sure to wear gloves and wash your hands well.

Try the Tidy Cats Breeze system
It's a little more expensive
But it's totally worth it
Can't even tell I have a cat box and it only needs to be checked once a day

I have been around cats since I was a baby. I just wear gloves when changing to litter and wash up well. I would be more concerned about it if I have never been around cats or my cats where outside eating wild animals.

Just keep everything clean. I've had cats while pregnant and was fine.

im 26 weeks and everyone was shocked i told them i wasn't getting rid of Harley. he's a pain in the ass but i love him to death. my df has a condition he can't be near cat litter / feces so im in charge of cleaning it unless necessary. i've owned cats my whole life, didnt bother getting tested if im immune but i've never gotten sick being near the litter and i clean it daily. my worst moment was i had bad morning sickness and my cat didnt cover his  business leaving me to run to the bathroom and my cat watching me ...im assuming pleased lol my cat is up to date on vaccines and has no parasites, and is strictly indoors (bars on windows so i know he's not escaping and returning) lol .
