Was the ultrasound wrong?

I had one yesterday at 17 weeks. I'm really hoping it's wrong. The nurse said she's about 80% sure it's a boy, but it could be a clitoris sticking out. I have another one at 20 weeks.

Did they ever change yours?

No. Both my boys were boys and stayed boys. And that would be a huge clitoris. Lol.

sometimes the vagina can appear swollen on the ultrasound thus making it harder to tell specifically what it is. my first daughter's was like that. So yea I would wait to feel more confident with what they say at 20 wks and then go for an elective one around 30 just to verify if they aren't sure at 20 wks.

The thing to remember is that even at 20 wks it still is not 100%.

Doubt it's wrong.. it could be if it's swollen but usually thats not the case. Are you not wanting a girl that bad?

By 17 weeks the clitoris really wouldn't be sticking out. A penis at that point is pretty obvious.

But don't be disappointed!! Boys are fantastic! I am hoping to be having my second boy this time around!

I doubt it's the clitoris sticking out. The genitals are swollen at that point. We had an ultrasound at 16 weeks 1 day and it was a boy. Had another at 22 weeks and still a boy!

No, both were right. For my dd (my 2nd), we tried Shettles for a girl so when the tech said "girl parts" I cried so hard I didn't look myself. When the doc came into confirm all was well, I said "are you guys sure its a girl?" He turned the machine back on, checked every possible angle and said "100% girl".
