I've recently learned that dha is essential during pregnancy for brain development however my prenatals do not contain dha. Is it safe to drink flinstones brain development chewable vitamins in addition to the prenatals. It contains 200 mg of dha and I really want to make sure I take everything necessary for a healthy baby.

Is it just DHA in there? Then it's probably fine. I took a DHA vitamin made from algae during my last pregnancy and am taking cod liver oil this time. Check with your doctor to make sure.

Eh. It's not really as necessary as they are making it out to be. I didn't take any with dha with either of my 3 kids and I'm still not taking any with this pregnancy either. All 3 all have very good vision and are all really smart. They are 18, 9 and 2.
