For the ladies who use dopplers

I was just curious as to what it sounds like when the baby moves. I have a doppler that I use and I can lay perfectly still, and not move my arm, the doppler or anything, and I keep hearting these little blips. I think it's baby moving, but I'm still to early to feel it.

I don't use one at home, but that has happened at my OB's a couple times. The best way I can describe it is like bloops you hear on any cartoons with fish, when they move. I'm not sure if that makes sense...

Why are you using dopplers?

So I can listen to my baby's heartbeat.

That could be the baby moving, it could also be from the other things going on in there. Cord pulsing, etc.

my little guy moves a lot, so when we are listening to the heartbeat, i often hear thumps and strange noises like turning an old radio dial. reminds me of cheesy sci-fi sound effects.
