can you see the gender at 13 weeks

My ultrasound is on Thursday can they see the sex that early? I'll be 13 weeks on that day

I highly doubt it since males and females still look the same around that time.

No its way to early. I think the 4D ultasound can show the sex but you would have to do some research on that.

 according to my doctor i was 13 weeks when i found out i was having a boy but from my lmp i was 16 weeks

Yes it is possible. They told me what I was having at 13 weeks but I still waited until 18 week ultrasound to confirm before buying anything! I have had friends who found out early as well.

I was told boy at 13w4d. Im 33w and he is still a boy. My ob did double check at my next appt just to make sure

yes look on youtube there are loads of clips of 12w ultrasound where the gender is obvious

Sometimes they can see but a lot of the time they don't even try to look.

I miscarried a 12 weeker and I couldn't tell the difference in gender when I looked it up online. They looked so similar I couldn't tell and that's a bit more in your face than an ultrasound so I'd be really skeptical of a gender guess at that age.

They have their "parts" at that point but it wouldn't be a 100% reliable gender determination. I had a 3d/4d u/s done at 16 weeks and found out we're having a boy. 22 week u/s determined boy as well.
