I'm not sure I understand your question.

If you have a kidney what?? Everyone has a kidney... Most ppl have 2.

Do you have a kidney infection? Kidney stones?

I get kidney stones a few times a year.... Trust me, if you had one YOU WOULD KNOW IT! Stones come from anything. Meat, caffeine, stress...

I've had kidney stones, actually had surgery this pregnancy to remove one, and was never told to not eat red meat.

You should watch your protein intake, red meat is just one source of protein. Chicken has high protein amounts, nuts, peanut butter, even milk. Just watch it in moderation.

My DH had a modified diet for a few years before his kidney transplant. It was kind of a pain :( but not impossible.

It depends on what is wrong with the kidney.  I would call and ask the doctor.  I had a kidney stone 2 weeks ago (not fun).  You could be dehydrated.  I would up my fluids and see if that helps
