Strangely a few weeks ago I was saying to my husband it won't be long before you can use your phone as a Doppler and even ultrasound, and tonight I seen an advert for an app called Baby scope which can apparently let you listen to your baby's heartbeat through the iPhone microphone from 20 weeks.

This amazes me has anyone used this?

I just don't know about it. I'm not sure how legit it can be? I'd deff have to research it..

I have not used this, but there was a mama the other week who used it successfully in this group.

I dont see how that could work because a doppler uses specific technology that sends out waves to our tummy and you need jelly.

It's not a true doppler since a doppler uses that specific technology you speak of. This is an app that uses the microphone on your phone. It has to be a certain quality of microphone and they recommend it only in the third trimester when it's fairly easy to hear the heartbeat. Like you could do with a stethoscope.

I downloaded it and it works! Safe to say I am pleasantly surprised, can be tricky to find baby's heartbeat but once you do it comes through loud & clear. There's even the option to record & send to relatives. My son loves listening to the recordings of his little sister moving around, sometimes I find him holding the phone to his own stomach as well 😂
