Can the baby feel when you are in pain?

I threw my back out last week and was in pretty excrutiating pain for most of the weekend. I kept wondering if the baby was having to feel that with me? Seems like a silly question, but I can deal with back pain but would hate to be putting stress on the baby because of my back pain.

no...now on your stomach if it hurts you, it hurts baby (such as laying on your stomach). They can feel and sense your stress over it, they can feel emotion but not as your are describing (if that makes sense)

They can't feel your pain, but the stress hormones your body gives off in response to stress and pain do go to the baby, so try to relax as best as possible. They have their own separate nervous system once that part forms, so they don't feel the pain you feel.

I think baby can feel the stress that our body is in. But not the physical  pain!

No physical pain--so don't worry mama!  But, it is important to just relax as much as you can though.  So sorry about your back!  :-(
