I've used it.  I refuse unnecessary vaginal exams outside of active labour, contractions 1.5 mins apart consistently, so I'm not sure if my cervix was ripe in advance... but there were no issues with my labour progression.  Evening primrose oil doesn't induce labour.

Oh I know it doesn't induce labor, I read others in babycenter about their experience with using it and but they were from 2010 so I was wondering if people used it to soften it recently. And I have to have a c section so I won't be using it. Just curious is all.

I did with my third and I had a 4-day long labor, but no tearing.  Not sure it was worth it.
