I had a uti during my last pregnancy. I was put on an antibiotic but I can't remember what it was. As long as the doctor that prescribed to you knows that your pregnant they should make sure it's safe for you to take. And making sure your uti goes away is very important it could turn into a kidney infection.

You should take keflex or macrobid. And you can use Otc azo for discomfort.

I've had several Utis this pregnancy.

You should definitely take your antibiotics.  Not treating a uti can grow to a bladder infection and kidney infection. Those can lead to preterm contractions/birth and hospitalization. Plus hurt like no other (once allowed a uti to get to kidney infection was not pretty).  The MED you list is a category B MED and ok to take during pregnancy, would definitely take

As long as your doctor is aware of your pregnancy you should be fine. I understand your concern, though. Hope you feel better soon :-)

Macrobid is safe
Ask for that
Never heard of ampicillin

I've never heard of that, but if your doctor prescribed it and they know you're pregnant it should be fine. Feel better soon!
