We have the nursery almost complete but I know the baby will be sleeping in our room for a little bit. My question is.. We sleep with a box fan for the noise. I was going to get the baby a music player in her room for her to listen to when she falls alseep, but now I'm wondering if I should skip that and just get her a box fan for white noise since that is probably what she will be used to...

What about a sleep sheep for white noise? Does your nursery get hot? Will baby need a fan for air circulation?

I'd try to go with nothing. I like my kids to be dependent on as little as possible for sleep cuz it's less drama when something isn't there.

But if it's needed I'd go with the fan since that's what you use.

I'd go with a fan since it is said it could lower the risk of sids.

We also slept with a fan and dd was in our room. I didn't get a fan for her room for safety reasons. I couldn't put it anywhere where she couldn't stick her fingers in it. We did white noise for her room.

I agree with Jenny. I'd go with nothing to start.

We are doing the same thing, having him in our room with our fan. The noise maker we are getting though has a white noise setting so hopefully he will adapt to that too, it's pretty similar I think!
