I was 1/2 a sleep and i went to stretch my legs. My right leg tensed up so tight i could not move it ! OUCH! horrible Charlie Horse i sat up and tried rubbing it and pointing my toes out. Finally was able to move it and fell back to sleep. My calve muscle is still super sore. So far this pregnancy this is only the 2nd time ive gotten a Charlie Horse that bad.

I've heard eating bananas can help with charlie horse cramps.

Yea the last time i had a bad one i was told bananas and milk (calcium) help. I ate a banana had a glass of chocolate milk (i hate milk) before i went to bed it seems to help. Ive eaten a banana every day this week had some chocolate milk today hopefully it helps.

Oh yes!!! I had them constantly with DS on the third trimester.
It will wake me up in agony.

Here's what worked for me:
Immediately straighten your leg, heel first, and gently flex your toes back toward your shins. It might hurt at first, but it will ease the spasm and the pain will gradually go away..

Are you asking how to prevent them?

With DS2 I got one so bad during the night the next day I had a bruise!
If you feel one coming on, as quickly as possible, point your foot straight up. If you can pull it off fast enough it will stop your Charlie horse instantly. A trick I read online a few years ago that has saved me dozens of times.

I've only gotten Charlie horses during pregnancy and they're the worst!!! My last pregnancy I though I'd managed to go without having one but the day I went into labor I had the double Charlie horse while sleeping! It was awful! I went to stretch my legs after I thought it was ending and got one in the other leg :(

Lol try drinking some Gatorade

Sharing the miseries (and joys) if pregnanc yis what we're here for! :)

I'd just say drinking water, daily stretching...maybe a nice massage with some coconut oil with a few drops of lavender oil when it happens.

Those hurt so darn bad. But I heard if you eat bananas you won't get them much.
