Hubby lost his job today

7 months pregnant.  I'm so down.  And worried.  I'm a SAHM and we have 4 other kids.  Long story but we may not be able to get medicaid to cover the rest of the pregnancy and the delivery.  *sigh*

I'm guessing you don't have 10-12 months living expenses saved up for a situation just like this? Sorry. Hope he can get another job soon!

I'm sorry hun. We had a similar situation when I was pregnant with son ,luckily DH was only out of work for a month. I hope everything works out with Medicaid,I know they can be a real pain.

Is Cobra an option for you financially? I know it's expensive, but probably cheaper than paying out of pocket for a hospital delivery. Or maybe look into homeborth with a midwife?

Don't panic my dear. This is a very minor setback. I hope you have
some relatives who can loan you some money. Or do you have a
medical insurance? If not, then you can seek a concessionary loan
from the bank. There is a solution somewhere. In your state, women
tend to panic. In such a state it is difficult to think clearly. But hang in
there. Your fifth angel is on the way. Look forward to that and keep
going. Just think of so many infertile women who thrive for the
opportunity to hold their own babies. You are very lucky. You should
think of stopping the family increment once your fifth one gets here.
Your financial situation is delicate. I'll keep you in my prayers.

That happened to us when we were expecting our third baby. The company was doing layoffs and DH was one of the unlucky ones to go. I think it was four days before my due date. DH wasn't able to take any time to be home with us after the baby was born because he had to start his new job. Our baby was born Sunday and he had to go into work on Monday. It was awful. Hopefully your husband finds a new job ASAP. Sending positive thoughts your way.

Hang in there!  Everything will work for good.  I understand this is a stressful season, but it is only for a short season.  Don't worry too much and take care of your health for you and the baby.

I hope and pray that husband finds a job very quickly.

Good luck!  I wish you all the best.
