  • I had an ectopic in 2006, yes you have to be put to sleep they cut you in your lower belly button to remove it. It doesn't take long to recover but your belly button feels weird after and you cant do any stretching or you'll break open the cut.

well, i ended up not having a tuble... but here is what i had looked up... maybe this will help the op...

    Ectopic Pregnancy Symptoms

The most common tubal pregnancy symptoms are:

    1. The first sign of ectopic pregnancy is a sudden pain on one side of the stomach.
    2. If you are pregnant and if you get pain in your shoulder while you are inhaling or exhaling, the chances of your having an ectopic pregnancy are very high.
    3. If you experience pain while using the bathroom, there is a strong likelihood that your pregnancy is ectopic.
    4. If your periods are unusual and/or if you have an abnormal vaginal discharge with a strange color, likelihood of ectopic pregnancy is high.
    5. The other tubal pregnancy symptoms are pale complexion, diarrhea, collapse, sickness, low blood pressure, light-headedness and an increase in the pulse rate.

    How To Recognize Ectopic Pregnancy

Since ectopic pregnancy symptoms are mostly similar to the symptoms of a normal pregnancy, it is not easy to recognize the presence of ectopic pregnancy. However, if you have the normal symptoms such as tender breast, nausea, frequent urination, missed periods, or vomiting along with the above mentioned ectopic pregnancy symptoms, the likelihood of the pregnancy being ectopic are very high. It is important for an expectant mother to keep reading books and magazines related to this subject in order to increase her knowledge.

An important indication of the presence of ectopic pregnancy is that the size of the womb will be small indicating that the fetus is not growing inside the womb but outside in the fallopian tubes. This can, however, only be detected by a doctor after he does an internal pelvic examination. An ultrasound scan and a specialized hCG blood test will have to be done in order to confirm the diagnosis.

Ectopic surgery can be treated with keyhole surgical intervention, which is not very dangerous. Moreover, some cases can be treated with medication too. However, if there is any indication of tubal pregnancy symptoms, the concerned doctor should be contacted immediately.

they didnt see my sac until i was 6 weeks, and it was so small, that they could not "call it a sac" until it was large enough to register with a measurment.  a week later, and not until my HcG was 10,000 were they able to see it, and say, "yes there is the baby". in that week, i had spotting, they gave me Prometrium, i had lots of cramping, and they checked my tubes, no tuble, just a slow grower at first in uterio. at that 7 week check, it went from almost sac to a sac, fetal pole, and heart beat.

have your periods been reg, and do you know when you concieved?

if you have a 28 day cycle, every time, go with the LMP date, for how far you are, if you dont have a normal cycle, then just give it some time and go with the 3 week guess, but they told me i would be due may 29, and i said, no i will be due before may 20, i know when i concieved. and sure enough, when baby was big enough to measure, i was told i was due May 18.

with a HcG of 750, i would not even worry yet.

and this was 5w4d ultra sound, which would be a HcG around 24days as per the above chart. if your HcG is only 750, dont worry. this ultrasound below, had the last #'s on the chart, so the average HcG was 2637.

Ultrasound in early pregnancy: 5.5 weeks from last menstrual period

Five week pregnancy ultrasound with sac and yolk sac
Transvaginal ultrasound of a normal pregnancy at 5 weeks 4 days of gestation

  • when the pain is related to a ectopic, you will *usually* have bleeding befroe the pain. the pain is caused by a build up of blood in the abdomen from ruptured tube, and you would have the pain in the lower abdomen first, because you would feel the pain as the tube streched before it ruptured, and the shoulder pain is from blood build up in the abdomen from a rupture.
