With my twins i lost my water broke when i was 27weeks. I was given some meds. to stop my contractions and i ended up delivering them at 34-35 weeks.
With my first my water broke at 2pm on Nov. 5th and i gave birth to my daughter at 6:02 am in Nov.6th.
You should also ask if their mucous plug was clear/creamy or if it had bloody show. Mine was clear/creamy with both of my boys & it was wks before I had them & I also lost mine with this one at 32 wks & now they told me I'm in the early stages of preterm labor.. so I don't know if the bloody show means labor is sooner.
You will know when it is your mucus plug. It is a thick glob of what looks like snot. Mine had blood in it and i ended up going into labor later that day. Trust me you will know. lol.
I lost mine a week ago today and I'm still here!
Mine was clear with just a little blood

Mine with my first was almost a dark yellow brownish color and it happend after sex, so I didn't realize that's what it was until my water broke 6 hours later at 12 AM in the morning...with my second it was the same color and I was 31 weeks so my water broke right after.
I didn't know if/when I lost it with either pregnancy and didn't have any show until I was in transition and wiped after peeing! But I was 4cm for a week with #1 and 3cm for a week with #2 and I assume if you are that dialated, the plug is gone.
I'm a natural birthing, public breastfeeding, attachment parenting, co-sleeping advocating, future home-birthing, cloth-diapering, mom of 2 boys - 10/06 and 3/08. One is circumcised, one isn't, ask me why! (and don't mutilate your poor baby's penis:( ) Yes, I tandem nurse - why take away the best thing I can give my toddler just because I got knocked up again? lol
I'm an open book when it comes to my pregnancies and births. There's nothing you can ask that I won't answer.
