I'm expecting my first this April and I'm convinced I need this stroller and car seat. My neighbor has the same one and has great things to say about it despite the $800 price tag. How long do you even use strollers for? Thanks for your input!

EDIT- For all the Mom's who think I'm crazy...
"The Quinny Buzz 3 Wheel Stroller is a revolutionary new stroller that springs open at a touch. The stroller includes shopping basket, raincover, windscreen, and netting, everything you need to keep baby comfortable. The stroller accepts Maxi Cosi infant car seat to become a complete travel system. The forward or backward facing adjsutable seat provides convenient seating options. The 5 position adjustable handle adjusts according to parent's height. The light weight aluminum frame is lighter to take in and out of the car. The foam seat is scotchguarded for ease of cleaning."
And to defend myself, I honestly asked this question because I wondered if anyone out there had spent nearly that amount for a stroller. Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
$800???????
No offense, but are you F*******kidding me??????????
WTF? The only person I know who could afford that (in these tough economic times) is Nicole Richie, but then again, she is a millionaire.
OMG, I can think of SOOOOO many other things the baby needs to spend $800 on rather than that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have the money, God love you. But if you're struggling like the rest of us, a Chicco ($249) is as high as I would ever go!!!!!!!
OK, am I the only one clamping down on unneccessary spending because of the economy?
We make well well over six figures, and I would never spend $800 on a stroller.
that's what we got !! but a double, with the carseat adaptor. I'm in LOOOVE with it!

We have a BOB revolution and we love it it was $400. It has a swivel wheel that also locks for jogging. And the sun shade is really nice. It doesnt come with the car seat tho. I would deff look into it tho we love ours! http://www.joggingstroller.com/BOB-Revolution.pro?gclid=CNWPzJDdlpYCFRg6awodw1p47A
For the car seat we will prolly get a Chicco Key fit 30

SEE MY POST ABOVE YOURS!!!!!!!
How could ANYone (other than Nicole Richie) afford $800 on a stroller in the year 2008? I can barely afford the gas to drive to Babies R' Us!
No i wouldn't buy it (i can afford one if i wanted one) but because to me a stroller is a waste of money, i rarely used the one i bought for Levi and wont be buying a double one (Levi will be about 9 months old when this baby is born).
I do think they are nice strollers but i prefer the pram style ones. I think you should be able to get it cheaper than $800,= .
Lordie...they'll say anything to make a buck, won't they? I don't care how revolutionary they say it is...consumer reports doesn't even list it, let alone rate it highly. Stick with the safest options like Evenflo Aura and Britax.
I'm a natural birthing, public breastfeeding, attachment parenting, co-sleeping advocating, future home-birthing, cloth-diapering, mom of 2 boys - 10/06 and 3/08. One is circumcised, one isn't, ask me why! (and don't mutilate your poor baby's penis:( ) Yes, I tandem nurse - why take away the best thing I can give my toddler just because I got knocked up again? lol
I'm an open book when it comes to my pregnancies and births. There's nothing you can ask that I won't answer.
Quinny is very popular in Europe, European strollers are very different from American ones, they much prefer the pram style ones like the buggaboo and quinny's that have the pram attachment.

that is very true!
and I think Graco and all those travel systems are available in many different, very cute designs for not too much money but you can also see the difference as far as the quality goes.
And also I have to agree about your point about pram style. I rather spend a little more on the stroller to where my baby is comfortable and actually laying in the stroller and not half way sitting like in a car seat.
I am also kinda surprised about the posts saying a stroller is almost a waste cause some moms barely ever use it - why is that? don't you take your babies for walks (outside)?
Just wondering......
I have to admit I am not rich (with my first daughter I had to take care of everything by myself), gas is very expensive here(LOL) but when it comes to the stroller I won't be all about the prices.

Location notwithstanding, and regardless of your financial situation, it just doesn't seem practical. I guess if you have the money and it really seems that exceptional to you (Really, what's so special about it that it warrants a $500+ price jump? Does it come with a 100% guarantee that your child won't be harmed in an accident?), then you should get it. But I personally wouldn't buy it no matter how much cash I had laying around. I won't even be buying a stroller for this one. I hated using a stroller of any kind with DS until he was too big to be worn comfortably. So we only used a stroller (never used the travel system unless he was with my MIL) for about 6 months. Once he started to walk well, that was easier for us & he wanted to walk most of the time. (We did just get him a backpack with a sort of leash attachment, since he's started to want a little more freedom.)
Why would you want to regularly leave your child in a car seat for long periods of time? I think it's rather ridiculous that people never seem to hold their children anymore. IMO, a car seat or stroller should never become a substitute for being held by parents. And there are just better things (things for baby, even... not just things for yourself or w/e) that $800 could be spent on. Better yet, save the $800. As a nation, we're facing economic crisis. (I know not everyone is in the US, but most of us here are.) No one's job is 100% guaranteed, I don't care how much money you make right now.
BTW, I think it would be hilarious if you go out & blow $800 on a stroller and your baby hates it. Some kids don't love their car seats and don't want to be stuck in a stroller all the time. And they don't care what the price tag said. Babies are equal opportunity haters.

I personally rarely use a stroller, it was a total waste of money for me. I like to use slings/wraps or other types of carriers, especialy for shoping (hands free!).
But i dont think a good stroller is a waste of money in itself, its just not for me.
