So my baby shower is Nov. 2nd and I want to have it co-ed so they guys have something to do for the afternoon also. I thought about them all going out to eat or something, but Im not sure, can anybody throw some ideas around and give me some suggestions? Jeffery would really like to be there, but would be awkward when 30 women and one soon to be daddy lol :)

  • I love that the husbands wont to be involed. I throw my husband a surprized Diaper Party (GUYS ONLY) and it truned out great. When they started to show up, i look at Greg and told him how much he meant to me and how i appericate all the hard work he does at work and home. and told him to have a good time. He did. I took off to my girlfriends house and watch Chick Flicks. When i got home, all the beer bottles where in the kictchen and everyone had a great time.

Maybe try on of these , Oh yeah did i mention we received a bunch of diapers! It was real sweet of the guys to go through the troble of going to the store and picking out diapers.

  • Mine's kinda co-ed.

The guys will be in one room while the girls *or anyone who wants to do the girly stuff* will be in the living room.

I decided to invite all his friend and some of my male co-workers to a Poker game, since that's what he loves to do on Sunday nights while Im at work, and he's been good about cutting back so we can save for the baby.

Its $10 buy-in (which is $10 to play) and $5re-buys (incase anyone gets out and wants to keep going). $5 out of every buy in goes to "mommy & baby" and the rest goes to the "Pot" that they're all trying to win.

I figured since he doesnt wanna do the girly stuff and be bored, but I want him there with me that this would be a good idea. Plus it saves his friends from having to buy baby stuff.

We're also doing a diaper raffle w/co-ed prizes.

  • I am having my shower this Sunday. My fiancee and I are throwing a "baby barbeque" since we dont technically want another "shower"(second boy). It is going to just be a relaxed get together we are going to grill out and hang out outside and have a bonfire. (if the weather holds) I have a bout 40 invited but not that many will show (my friends suck). We were going to do allll baby themed, like baby back ribs, baby potatoes, baby carrots etc etc.... but lets face it I am BROKE, so dogs and burgers it is!!!!

I put in the invites that gifts arent required but I also put where I am registered :) I also put bring a chair and a dish to pass. We are also doing a "diaper raffle" Everyone who brings a bag of diapers we will put their name in a hat and draw one, the winner gets a 20$ gas card! (hey if two people buy diapers, then it pays for our 20$ card!)

We will do a baby theme on the tables and stuff, but nothing out of control where any guys would feel uncomfortable.

  • I had a coed shower. It was a cookout and we had wings and a bunch of other types of finger type foods. We had it on the day of a football game so all the guys stayed down stairs and watched the game while us girls did the baby shower thing. We had a lot of fun.

  • My baby shower was co-ed. Everyone was invited (men, women, children) and we had a bbq.  I loved it!

  • I had a co-ed baby shower and it turned out really fun. I had a few games that just the guys played. what we did was blow up balloons and the guys put one under their shirt and we had them tie their shoe and whoever did it the fastest without their balloon popping won.. It was really fun.. Good Luck and have fun.

  • I had a co-ed baby shower. Most of my friends are guys and wanted to share it with everyone in my family too. We had a cookout and just visited and hung out. No games or anything of that sort.. and a lot of my guy friends got me my biggest presents [changing table, stroller/carrier, bassinet, monitors, ect]. It was a great party!

  • We always try to include the guys in on the baby showers.  They have a lot of fun too.  They play the game(s) with us and watch the gifts being opened.  They usually ask a lot of questions about the different baby items and how and when they are used if they are new daddies.

There are a lot of good coed baby shower games on the market.  (hint...my signature!)

  • oh my god this is  just my opinion but this is ridiculous to take money from the pot to put towards  paying for YOUR child.

Its $10 buy-in (which is $10 to play) and $5re-buys (incase anyone gets out and wants to keep going). $5 out of every buy in goes to "mommy & baby" and the rest goes to the "Pot" that they're all trying to win.
