just a quick question
wondering if any of you waited to find out the sex (till the birth of your baby)....i'm going on #3 and never found out the sex (just love surprises).........just wondering...would love to hear your stories THANKS!
No, not I~ With my pregnancies, I have never had any ultrasounds. So learning the gender wasn't possible! IF i had U/Ss I might have asked...
The knowledge of how to give birth without outside intervention lies deep within each woman. Successful childbirth depends on an acceptance of the process. ~Suzanne Arms

Isn't that unsafe? What if something was to happen? Your not scared about not being able to track their weight or anything? I couldn't go without an ultrasound...I over worry

Unsafe? I don't see how, lots of women decline them. U/Ss can only give estimates on things like weight. By having an experienced pair of hands (or several of them) to palpate, we could get an idea just as reasonable. There are so many ways to watch baby. And besides, the weight is irrelevant! ;-)
The medical community has said that U/Ss should be saved for specific uses, concerns, weighing the risks (potential risks) is a consideration. As a healthy pregnant woman I didn't want to mess with a good thing.

Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers ~ strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength.

I am the same way, I found out as soon as possible because we had been trying for so long we had tons of green and yellow and tan stuff and I wanted to know if I could buy Blues or pinks because my hubby wouldn't let me until we knew what it was. (Little girl)
Quoting BraydensMama163:I could deal with not knowing, but I can't take having to wait to buy things...and I hate white tan and yellow!!! My favorite colors believe it or not are blue and pink...I'd have to know just so i could buy things

I've heard of some women not opting to do U/S also some women do it when they plan home births which I think is awesome! Why did you choose not to if you dont mind me asking?? :O) Just curious...
