AFP Test Results Question, I am confused......

SO I just got a call from the hospital and they said that my results looked good BUT she didn't tell me what the results were.  Just told me I can get an amnio if I wanted to be sure.  She did give me what my odds or chances of having a baby with Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida and tri 18 were.  How do I know if these results are good or not.  Anyone know what are good results and or where I can look this up?

Thanks I am SO confused!

The results ARE what your odds are.

A good result means they dont think your baby has those conditions.

I would call your Dr's office and have your doctor explain the results to you!

when i had that done, the results were just postive or negative. i think the nurse told me the odds of me having a child with downs syndrome were 1 in 250. or something like that.
