This is all to much to take in and you know what I don't even quit understand. To say the least I am a mess can't stop crying. OK first I was on a diapheretic(water pill) very very low dose and it helped with my blood pressure also. My Dr's took me off of it 3 weeks ago because it could cause harm to the baby(kidney problems). So I have been having heart palpitations and noticing I am retaining a lot of water. So I go in and they tell me I have gained 13 lbs in 3 weeks my blood pressure is 168/123. High very high(my mom died of a massive heart attack at 32 years old my brother has had many heart complications), so my OBGYN is concerned. I have also been having contraction like pains in my right upper side just under the breast, I thought it was stretching nope he says stretching pains are at the bottom of the stomach. Well they do blood work and my liver is way off the water and blood pressure is effecting my liver at this point. Not only all that I am very big already may be more then one who knows but i wasn't this big with the twins. So he says we need to send you for a NT sono(down syndrome) It can't be done till I am 12 weeks with is February 12. So I am freaking out because i was never sent with this with the twins. Anyone else sent for one? I called the sono place which is for high risk pregnancies and she said normally they do it through blood work but if the Dr suspects something he will do sono, blood work and measurements. She said it is not uncommon. Well for me it is i was never sent for this. Can anyone give me any insight to anything? I am 9 weeks pregnant.

http://www.preeclampsia.org/symptoms.asp Have you asked or heard of preeclampsia?  It kind of sounds to me like you may have it.  I would talk to your dr. about it.

My husband had a triple bypass at 29 years old, I know how scared you must be.  It sounds like the elevated BP and the weight gain is related to being off of the diuretic?  Were you off of it while you were previously pregnant and with BP's so high?  It seems awfully high to me-did they put you on something else to help with water retention/BP?  I am not knowledgable with the sono stuff- but you will be in my prayers.

Wow I don't know. Have you been checked for congestional heart failure? My whole family has a history riddled with heart problems and my dad has had 3 or 4 massive heart attacks before they figured out he had congestional heart failure... I get checked every 2 to 5 years depending on the frequency of my chest pains. Ask for an ecocardiagram and an ultrasound of your heart. Also the stretching pains in the bottom of your stomach are totally normal (muscles are pulling) but get it checked due to the fact that you are having other complication. I don't know if anything that I have said is any help but I do wish you luck.

They just took me of it at 4 weeks. The heart peplaitatins started once a day for about 4 days now it is happening more often. I am being sent to a high risk pregnancy Dr. Can't get in till the 30th. Oh and i was completly fine up into now no heart problems or nothing.

The pains are at  the top of my stomach top right hand side underneath the right Breast. It's not even pains it feels like stabbing.. I thought it was just stretching pains but the Dr said no that is were your liver is. My liver could be effecting becaue of everything else that is what he is checking into.

hmm Im not a dr but, I dont think that downsyndrome is really a concern. Your problems do sound like pre-e which is not good but, if you take the right precautions, all will be well :) The dr. may be doing that for "safety" reasons. Perhaps if he/she has downs, it could affect him/her differently? I would just take it really easy.... keep us posted :)

I am not familiar with your situation at all, I'm sorry. I just wanted to tell you, not to expect the worse. I I don't know if you are religious at all, but i believe that if you pray about something and let God handle the rest everything will work out. Just look at it as another test. It doesn't mean that it will come back positive. Just breath and try to relax, the stress can't be helping your b/p.

I don't know anything about heart issues but i hope it can get resolved. I do know that i went for the NT test with both of my pregnancies for my Dr it's routine, it was also optional.

You know what the whole blood pressure thing is not even really scaring me. I know I'm not the first and they will get it under control When I go See the specialist. It's the down syndrome sono that is concerning me because I don't know anyone who has went for one or why. Or is he just being cautious?
