Nesting...

Alright ladies, so I am 32 weeks and lately I have been getting these spurts of energy and I feel the need to do all sorts of things, which totally drains all my energy...LOL  Anyway, the other day I cleaned my bathroom like I had never cleaned it before, I swear you could eat off the toilet if you wanted to, not that I ever would, but still.  Then today I dreaded getting dinner ready, but then all of a sudden got up and started dinner.  Well not only did I cook dinner, but I cooked like three other meals and we now have plenty of food for the rest of the week and probably the beginning of next week too.  I didn't stop there either.  I gave my son a bath and then decided that his tub looked dirty, which it didn't really, but still, and really scrubbed it.  Well then I got yelled at by my hubby, not really yelled, just told off I guess you could say, and was told I can't finish the last meal I was gonna make that it can wait til tomorrow.  My luck I won't want to do it tomorrow...LOL

Anyway, does it seem like I am nesting kind of early?  I mean I don't remember doing this with my first pregnancy until like the week I went into labor.  I have this funny feeling that I am gonna go into labor early and don't really know why.

How many of you have either started nesting or did it in other pregnancies?  What sort of things did you do?

I'm 13 weeks, and I'm already like that.  Granted I have been a little OCD and clean freak all my life, but I have been horribly sick (like not able to stand up sick) with the flu, and I still get bursts of energy like that.  On saturday I had been so sick, coughing so hard I was throwing up, and getting dizzy spells, and yet I still thought it was a good idea to vaccum all my couches (again) dust all my door frames/pictures, and then procede to clean the house like I normally do (which takes about 2 hours), and handscrub the floors.  I am sure paying for it now though!

I am 9 weeks and nesting.  I have bursts of engery but as soon as I sit down I get tired.  Especially while folding clothes.  I generally cook meals for the week so I do not have to cook everyday.  It is nice to have the convenience espeically when you are starving and need something right away.  I have a sinus infection right now and all of that has gone down the toilet.  My husband is too lazy to cook and complains that he never has anything to eat.  The ungreatful slug.

i had it SO bad. lol, real bad with my last pregnancy. i would clean for like 12 hours straight making sure that every nook and cranny was clean. it was actually the worst the day before i went into labor. my parents were in town and my dad had to litteraly grab me and sit me down in a chair and tell me that it was ok for me to put my feet up and to let other people help.

i have no energy this time but i still have the nesting thing already and i'm not quite 6 weeks yet. i just feel the need to clean everything. its already driving my husband crazy.

i started at around that time I think. I could not stop cleaning and deep cleaning and reorganizing. I think i changed our bedroom around 4 times before I decided that it was fine the way it was, lol. I know what you mean though, all the sudden I would be doing something simple like washing the windows and then would decide the curtains should be thrown in the wash, the blinds needed soaking in bleach, and the walls needed to be scrubbed. But I have to say it was nice when I brought my baby home to a very clean house, lol. I am waiting and waiting for all that to kick in real soon, im about 28 weeks and have no motivation, so I cant wait for it to kick in. :)

I have OCD too, but up until now I didn't have the energy and just didn't care.  A few weeks ago hubby made a comment about me letting the house go and it pissed me off, so I cleaned the house and he thought he was in trouble so he helped :)

My hubby can't cook either.  His idea of cooking is going to McDonald's or calling Dominos.
