Belly belt?

Hey ladies, does the belly belt really help?  I am all tummy and the bottom of my tummy is really sore a lot of times whenever I am not laying down.  So I was thinking of trying a belly belt, but wanted to see if you ladies had had any luck with it first.  My lower back hurts quite a bit too, would that help my back too?

Here is a pic....I didn't carry this way with my first pregnancy, so all this tummy weight is all new to me.

I bought the medela one...it was only like $12 at babies r us.  I totally recommend it!  It makes me feel like I have lost 10 pounds of pressure off my back!  It also makes it easier for you to stand upright and not feel so strained on the lower part of your belly.

I was telling my hubby yesterday that I feel like I am walking hunched all the time, almost like I walked after my c-section.  If I am laying down, I don't have an issue, but I can't exactly lay around all day with a 2 year old.

My midwife told me about a backbrace, my insurance covers it so I got that. It does the exact same thing as a belly belt. And I haven't had back pain or tummy pain until about a wk ago because my son is dropping but that's all.

Did she have to write a script for your insurance to cover it?  I would love if my insurance would cover it cause I would only have to pay 10% of it.
