Not sure about baby monitors but I can highly recommend the Moby baby carrier. Most of my friends have used it, and it is a very simple but very efficient system. I just ordered mine today...

I purchased the Snugli baby carrier...it got good ratings. And I got the Evenflo Private Connection monitors...haven't used either though. They both got good ratings though! ;)
