With all 3 of my labors my water has broken on it's own. I'm curious how many people that happens to. I was told once it wasn't common for it to break on it's own but I find that hard to believe. Anyway curious what your experience is.

Well, the water will almost always break on it's own at some point.  It's rare for a baby to be born in the sac (though, it does happen).

With my first, my water broke as he was coming out.

With my second, my water broke spontaneously at 35 weeks and then I chose to be induced.

With my first, the doctor broke my water. I really went into labor myself, but then it stalled so I had to get pitocin.  With my new baby, I was insduced with cetrvidil, but my water broke on its own about 5 hours later (delivered the baby in another 5 hours)

Out of 6 kids I had two break on their own.  The other 4 were broken in the hospital while I was in labor.

I would have had to vote other because with 5 of my kids they broke my water and with 1 it broke on it's own.
