I think since there are 7 days in a week, u don't turn 23 till the 7th day.

I don't know exactly why they do that, but I usually don't say the days when someone asks me. I just say the weeks, because honestly who cares how many DAYS pregnant you are? No one. Most people don't understand when you tell them in weeks anyway, so they sit there and calculate in their head how many months that is, but that is not exactly accurate otherwise we would carry the babies for 10 months instead of 9.

A year has 52 weeks (12 months).
You are pregnant for 40 weeks (9 months).
You are not pregnant for 12 weeks (3 months).

The average month has 4.3 weeks in it.
If you are pregnant for 40 weeks, that comes to 9.3 months.
Which is like nine months and maybe 10 days.
So don't count the first "pre-conception" days and you get nine months.
Definitely not 10 months!

But 40 weeks is the end of nine months...  If you go to 42 weeks or so wouldn't that mean you are 10 and a half months?  confused

No, you would be 9 months and 2 weeks.  You would have to go to the end of the week at week 44 to be a full 10 months pregnant.  The problem is most people count from 1 not from 0.  You should be counting from 0!
